Property Highlights
Heron Bay is located in the northwest corner of Broward County, straddling the towns of Parkland and Coral Springs. It is strategically located along the Sawgrass Highway between Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale and just minutes from the blue waters and white sands of Deerfield Beach. It’s rare to find such a tranquil setting in the bustling South Florida area. The Parkland area offers miles of equestrian trails winding through wooded acres, making it a perfect spot for horse enthusiasts.
Heron Bay is located across the street from the “green” Heron Heights Elementary School, which opened in August 2009 and primarily serves students living in the Heron Bay area. Heron Bay is close to Westglades Middle School and Stoneman Douglas High School. To learn more about these schools, click on “Broward County Schools” and search for those schools.
Heron Bay is a gated community with two 24-hour guarded entrances. Residents enjoy the amenities of a country club without having to join a private club. The Heron Bay Commons Clubhouse offers a swimming pool, spa, fitness center, indoor racquetball court, saunas, 12 tennis courts and a club room available for resident events. The Plaza Del Lago club is located next to the north entrance. It’s a residents-only club with 30,000 square feet of amenities like basketball, state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics classes, spa treatments, children’s play areas, including a water park area, and a large resort-style pool.
Heron Bay offers a wide variety of homes, from townhomes and condos to multi-million dollar properties.
There is an 18-hole TPC public championship golf course throughout the Heron Bay community. The course was famous for hosting the Honda Classic golf tournament for years. You can choose to pay for daily play or become a member and have unlimited play for a low annual fee. The golf shop offers many options of the latest fashion golf clothing and there are golf professionals available to give lessons. Click on “Golf Info” for more information.
Heron Bay has become a very popular community in South Florida with a high household income and a median age in the mid-30s. Many professionals choose to settle here because of the excellent A-rated public school system and traveler-friendly location.
With Coral Springs to the south and Boca Raton to the north, Parkland and Heron Bay enjoy a variety of shopping and dining. Both cities are a 10-minute drive away. Boca Raton has the Boca Town Center with Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, and every boutique you can imagine. Coral Springs Mall offers Macy’s, Dillard’s, and many small retailers.
When thinking about relocating to South Florida, consider Heron Bay as one of your top community options. It offers a laid-back lifestyle that gives you the best qualities of city life without all the negatives. Without a doubt, Heron Bay has become the place to live in Broward County.
