Miami's arena and entertainment district

Living in Park West

Park West is the neighborhood surrounding Kaseya Center, the arena where the Miami Heat play, in the corridor between I-95 and the Port of Miami. For years it was mostly parking lots next to the arena.

That changed with Miami Worldcenter: a 27-acre, roughly $6 billion mixed-use development led by Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani alongside CIM Group, which turned a decade of vacant land into 10 city blocks of retail, hospitality and residential towers. Its roughly 360,000-square-foot retail corridor runs between NE 1st and 2nd Avenues and NE 9th and 10th Streets.

Towers like Paramount Miami Worldcenter, with nearly an acre of sports amenities on its rooftop deck, and 900 Biscayne Bay, one of Miami's tallest residential buildings, show the kind of recent construction that defines the district today.

The Miami Worldcenter Metromover station — known for years as Park West — connects the district on foot to Downtown, Brickell and the rest of the system, without needing a car to get around the core.

Park West currently has 34 active new-construction condos for sale, one of the healthiest new-build inventories in central Miami.

That inventory is backed by Miami Worldcenter, the 27-acre, roughly $6 billion mixed-use development that keeps adding retail, hospitality and residential towers in the same corridor, steps from Kaseya Center.
